Many people don?t know what to do with pictures of vacations and special occasions, or any other mementos that represent these good times, but they are quickly learning that memory albums are a much better alternative than throwing these items in a box and forgetting about them, leaving them to the possible misfortune of becoming lost or destroyed by accident. Memory albums provide a great alternative that allows you to organize and preserve your photos safely.
You don?t have to be into scrap-booking to do this. You only have to put as much effort into the memory album as you want. If you?re not the creative type it?s not a big deal. Leave creativity to others who enjoy it. A memory album is there just to give you a way to get your memories organized so that they will be preserved for generations to come.
There are two ways to go about making your memory album. If you?re the creative type you will most likely use a scrap book. If you?re not the creative type then a simple photo album will suffice. This can be bought at any retail store, such as Walmart or Target. For scrap-booking though, you will have to find a specialty craft store. Of course, while these are great individual options, many people sometimes use both; again, it just depends on the individual.
While there are plenty of simple photo albums available, you can find more elaborate albums that represent themes, such as travel, children and holidays. For example, one idea you might consider is buying a travel-themed album and then filling it with nothing but pictures from past vacations.
If scrap-booking is your thing, then the options available are nearly infinite. Items such as stickers, stamps, specialty paper, and borders are just a few of the items. With scrap-booking you are limited only by your imagination.
So far a lot has been said about memory albums, but truthfully, some people are not even remotely interested in the idea. Everybody has their own reasons, but for many, the consensus seems to be a lack of time. There will always be time eventually, but until there is, individuals can store their mementos; however, not in any old random cardboard box. Specialty storage boxes can be found at craft stores that are a much better option then a cardboard box or a shoebox. With a specialty box, all of your pictures will be in one spot and safely preserved for you when you are ready to create a memory album.
Pictures of good times that have past are precious to you and will be precious to following generations in your family who will be interested in learning about their heritage. Take care to make sure these keepsakes are there for them long after you?re gone.

"Tax-Free Swaps: Using Section 1031 Like-Kind Exchanges to Preserve Investment Net Worth" (ISBN13: 9781933255286) details the requirements and benefits of section 1031 of the tax code. Originally enacted in 1921, section 1031 is the product of a fundamental principle of tax law: that a person should not pay income tax as long as the person remains invested in a single piece of property or in like-kind property. Nonetheless, the technical aspects of section 1031 make it inaccessible to many people. In "Tax-Free Swaps," Prof. Borden presents the benefits of section 1031 in an easy-to-understand manner.
